Orientation of External Monitor on Bal Suraksha Maah

Bal Suraksha Maah is being celebrated by the great pump and show in all over State in the month of June and December. Like wise every year, this year CID has been given responsibility by Micro-nutrient Imi1nitiatives to celebrate Bal Suraksha Maah. Therefore CID organized the one day Orientation of External Monitor who will observe the progress of BSM in their respective districts. There are 12 External Monitor was selected for this activity from 6 targeted districts. The orientation was blessed by Hon Joint Director Health Services Dr. Archana Shingvekar. The technical session was delivered by Ms Ritu Ghosh (State Programme Representatives-MI) and Dr. Shirish Singhal(DIO-Gwalior). Then after Mr Sanjeev Pandey (Division Coordinator) and Dr. Vijay Gupta(Hony Secretary- CID) took second technical session. Mr Umesh Vashishtha (Board of Member – CID) gave vote of thanks at the end of Orientation Programme.

One day Orientation for Adolescent Girls

     CID has been working with deprived communities of various places for more then two decades. Time to time, CID used to organize different and various informative activities to bring some change among them.  In this series, CID organized an orientation program for adolescent girls at the State Health Institute, City Centre, Gwalior. This orientation was designed for multidimensional development of adolescent girls.
 The objective behind this orientation is to……..,
• Develop leadership skill among adolescent girls.
• Information and knowledge sharing about their social rights.
• Capacity building of adolescent on different issues.
• Information dissemination about the Govt. Schemes and policies.
       During this program, invited resource person Mr. Suresh Tomar (Joint Director, DWCD), Dr. Vijay Gupta (Chief functionary, CID) and Ms, Reshma Khan (Counselor, Child line) delivered essential information and encouraged them through speech. This information was fulfilled from Adolescent Empowerment, Child Rights and various developmental skills and different government scheme for adolescent in general and girls in particular. During the entire session, overall 60 participants enrolled their presence..

Orientation for Youth Group – September 2014

        DSCN6311CID organized orientation program for youth member at N.S.V. Resource Center in Gwalior. The main objective of this program is to provide a platform to youth group members, capacity building of youth members, enhance knowledge about Govt. policies and develop understanding of human rights. In this program, Children participated from various localities like Noorganj, Madhoganj, Indira Nagar, Naka-Chandravadani, Chirpura, etc.

       Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Khan (Coordinator, MSAECG) made the plot of the entire program. Dr. Vijay Gupta addressed youth delivering a thought provoking message. They also spoke on the importance of youth power seeing present scenario of the nation. During this program, Specially invited resource person spoke on the importance of youth capacity and encourages them through various stories of leaders. Youth group member was imparted information about their rights, governmental policies, leadership skill, etc. Dr. Avinash addressed the groups and encouraged them using 20140903_152346participatory learning method. Then after Mr. Rahul Gupta delivered his speech on “Time-management”. They used PPT presentations to convey the enthusiastic message allied his subject to youth group.

       During mid-noon session, Dr. Hemshankar Sharma spoke about family planning. It is a critical issue behind the root cause of rapid population of India. He told about the importance of NSV.  The entire program was very informative and youth presented active participation throughout the session.  At the end of the session, Ms. Reshma addressed youth group member to make the activity plan to celebrate Global Action Month as an anniversary of UNCRC which will be held in November. Then after Mr. Shiv Narayan concluded the program.

Orientation on declining sex ratio in region and PC-PNDT act

 

Being as a part of the campaign against declining sex ratio, CID set up an orientation program for regional NGO’s and CBO’s inDSCN5058 collaboration with MPVHA and supported by UNFPA. The cruelty of this subject was imparted by Dr. Vijay Gupta (Hony. Secretary, CID) at the initial of the program. During this two day workshop, NGOs were given information on PC-PNDT act 1994, MTP act 1971 and discussed the regional scenario on the declining sex ratio at birth, 0-6 year aged children and in general population by Mr. Devendra Bhaudoria and Dr. K.K. DIXIT. This is to impart information in the traditional practices of female foeticide which is a root cause of this problem. To convey the technical information and facilitate the session, CID invited the subject proficient resource person who imparted the issue based knowledge using the way of participatory learning. During this workshop, a tracking web site was introduced by Ms. Deepmala (Co-ordinator, MPVHA). She conveyed the information related the handling of this website and suggested the solution of a technical barrier while entry the complaint. Mr Mushtaq Ahmad Khan opened the plot of orientation with a welcome speech and conclude the orientation at the end.

Orientation Program for Adolescent girls- 27 May, 2014

    CID organized an orientation program for adolescent girls. This orientation was designed for multidimensional development of adolescent girls. The motto of this orientation is to,

• Develop leadership skill among adolescent girls.Adolescent Orientation
• Information and knowledge sharing about their social rights.
• Capacity building of adolescent on different issues.
• Information dissemination about the Govt. Schemes and policies.

     There were above 50 girl participants came to attend this program from various location (Mandhre ki mata, Shankarpur, Kishan Bagh, Transport Nagar, Chirpura, Naktapatha ) of Gwalior. During this program, invited resource person Mrs. Neelam Dixit (Eduction Officer FPAI), Dr. Sujatha Bapat, Dr. Vijay Gupta (Chief functionary, CID) and Ms, Reshma Khan (Counselor, Child line) delivered essential information allied adolescent age. This information was fulfilled from natural physical changes, child rights and ecological rights, different government scheme for adolescent in general and girls in particular during the entire session.

This orientation is designed keeping eyes on overall development of adolescent girls. During this program invited scholars Mrs. Neelam Dixit, Dr. Vijay Gupta and Reshma Khan imparted essential knowledge on various rights based issue. They spoke on natural physical changes, child rights and ecological rights respectively during whole session.
