Position: Districts Coordinator– EC-PIE Project

        Gwalior, Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur

Base: Bhopal

Project Profile:   Empowerment for better livelihoods, including skills development and vocational education and training, for marginalized and vulnerable persons and people dependent on the informal economy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To develop and conceptualize programmes on People dependent on the information economy.
  • To study, analyze and disseminate information on government programmes and policies related unorganized  people dependent on the informal economy with special focus with domestic workers, street vendors, construction workers, Bidi workers and Carpet weavers in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior
  • To liaison with government officials, welfare board and  Municipal Corporation to successful implementation of social schemes and entitlement under social security Act for people dependant on informal economy
  • To undertake monthly documentation and communications related to project, and write articles, papers and presentations on unorganized labour dependent on informal economy.
  • To assist and supervise the project team in implementation of programmes.
  • Any other work-related responsibility, as assigned by the Line Managers.
  • Networking with social sector, development organizations, vocational educational institutions, government bodies & advocacy Groups.
  • Advocacy efforts with different authorities and institutions including government, concerned line departments, media, etc.
  • Implement all the project activities in timely according to scheduled period
  • Preparation and compilation of Quarterly program EC-PIE project in 4 districts.
  • Planning, evaluation and monitoring of the EC-PIE Project related activities/ intervention in coordination with the partners at field level.
  • Intensive advocacy effort with people, policy makers, state authorities and Media on Housing  rights and Social security schemes
  • Activation of a state level coordination group as advisory group to support and facilitate to form sharpen the vision, strategies and action.
  • Supporting various campaigns for unorganized labours dependent on information economy in all four location.
  • Capacity building of district level community mobilizer and staff on social security rights issues and entitlement.
  • Cross sectoral network/Alliance building with like- minded groups/ organizations, active in similar field / issues
  • Extensive field visits and stay at district level to facilitate and support the local team of partners.
  • The work which assign by the partners to strengthen the on-going work.  
  • Any other assignment/ task as per organization needs.





  1. MSW/ PG /LLB or equivalent degree in relevant field.
  2. Candidature with at least 3 years experience of working in urban issues will be preferred.
  3. Public speaking, presentation
  4. Proficient in report drafting and translation from Hindi to English vice versa
  5. Preference will be given to person with experience in advocacy and research

Note: This position required Extensive Travel


Reporting to: Program Officer AAA and Chief Functionary CID
