Project goal

Reduction in maternal and infant deaths through promotion of primary health care focusing safe motherhood, adolescent and child health in Madhya Pradesh.

 

Objectives

Objective 1:  Empowering communities to generate demand and access public health services.

Objective 2: Promoting better management of maternal and child health care among women, adolescent girls and children.

Objective 3-:  Awareness generation monitoring and review.

 

Beneficiary group

  • Women, adolescents and children– especially poor and marginalized community.
  • Community nominated members of the Gram Swasth Evam Tadarth Samiti (GSTS).
  • Grass root level public health service providers, especially ASHA, ANM and Aanganwari worker.
  • General people of community of the selected PHC area.

  • Primary Health Centres         :  PHC Lukwasa in Block Kolaras.

(Entire population of PHC with special emphasis on poor and marginalized)

 

Expected outcome

  • Ensure accessibility of all women and adolescent girls to medical services.
  • Reduction in incidence of maternal and infant deaths.
  • Enhanced collaboration between community members and grass root level public health service providers
  • Decreased anemia in pregnant women, adolescent girls and children by 30% in three years.
  • Bring all women and children through childbirth alive and well.
  • Ensure participation of the community in every aspect to demand health as a right.
  • Ensure children grow up well-nourished and reduce the number of underweight children.
  • Give easy, low cost access to good health care.
  • Impart health awareness and share knowledge of health care with tribal communities so it becomes part of their wisdom and day to day experience.
  • To attain the highest possible level of physical, mental and social health.
  • To create an atmosphere highly conducive for the growth and development of local cultures and customs.
  • Control death rate due to SAM (Severe Acute Malnourishment) and mitigate Malnourishment among children.
  • Anemia control-:  Ensure Iron folic dose practices to reduce anemia.
  • Diarrhea -: Ensure 90% children will be safe with Diarrhea. All children got ORS and Zink pill.
  • Immunization-: Ensure 90% complete immunization pregnant women and children.
