Orientation for Youth Group – September 2014

        DSCN6311CID organized orientation program for youth member at N.S.V. Resource Center in Gwalior. The main objective of this program is to provide a platform to youth group members, capacity building of youth members, enhance knowledge about Govt. policies and develop understanding of human rights. In this program, Children participated from various localities like Noorganj, Madhoganj, Indira Nagar, Naka-Chandravadani, Chirpura, etc.

       Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Khan (Coordinator, MSAECG) made the plot of the entire program. Dr. Vijay Gupta addressed youth delivering a thought provoking message. They also spoke on the importance of youth power seeing present scenario of the nation. During this program, Specially invited resource person spoke on the importance of youth capacity and encourages them through various stories of leaders. Youth group member was imparted information about their rights, governmental policies, leadership skill, etc. Dr. Avinash addressed the groups and encouraged them using 20140903_152346participatory learning method. Then after Mr. Rahul Gupta delivered his speech on “Time-management”. They used PPT presentations to convey the enthusiastic message allied his subject to youth group.

       During mid-noon session, Dr. Hemshankar Sharma spoke about family planning. It is a critical issue behind the root cause of rapid population of India. He told about the importance of NSV.  The entire program was very informative and youth presented active participation throughout the session.  At the end of the session, Ms. Reshma addressed youth group member to make the activity plan to celebrate Global Action Month as an anniversary of UNCRC which will be held in November. Then after Mr. Shiv Narayan concluded the program.

स्कूल चलो अभियान – एक आशा

      स्कूल चलो अभियान के इस चरण मे संस्था द्वारा बिलौवा क्रेशर क्षेत्र मे कार्यरत मजदूरो के बच्चो एवं बाल मजदूरों के लिए रैली निकली गई। संस्था द्वारा इन क्षेत्रों मे बाल श्रमिकों के जीवन मे बदलाव हेतु अनेक प्रयास किए गए है। बदलाव की इस शृंखला मे संस्था द्वारा स्कूल चलो अभियान का शुभारंभ इस वर्ष 6 जून को किया गया है। अभी तक ग्वालियर एवं आसपास के क्षेत्रों के अनेक बच्चों का दाखिला स्कूल मे करवाया जा चुका है।

गिरता हुआ शिशुलिंगानुपात एवं कन्या – भ्रूण हत्या – “जनजागरूकता रथ यात्रा “

edited 1सेंटर फोर इंटीग्रेटेड डेव्लपमेंट एवं आस फोरम के संयुक्त तत्वाधान मे “कन्या – भ्रूण हत्या” रोकने हेतु ग्वालियर जिले में दो दिवसीय जनजागरूकता “रथ-यात्रा ” का शुभारम्भ ग्वालियर कलेक्टर मान. श्री पी. नरहरि द्वारा किया गया । यह यात्रा ग्वालियर जिले के 4 ब्लॉक डबरा, मोरार, घाटिगाओं एवं भितरवार के समस्त गाँवों मे निकाली गई । इस रथ यात्रा के दौरान नागरिको को गिरते हुए शिशुलिंगानुपात एवं “कन्या – भ्रूण हत्या” के मूलभूत तथ्यों से प्रचार साहित्य के वितरण कर एवं कार्यकर्ताओ के द्वारा व्यक्तिगत संचार आयोजित कर अवगत कराया। इस अवसर पर संस्था प्रमुख डॉ. विजय गुप्ता, डॉ के.के.दीक्षित, डॉ अंशुल तिवारी, मुश्ताक अहमद, संस्था के अन्य कार्यकर्ता सहित ग्वालियर जिले के विभिन्न सामाजिक संस्थाओ के प्रतिनिधिओ ने अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज कराई। इस कार्यक्रम के सुगमता पूर्वक संचालन हेतु म. प्र. वालेण्टेरी हेल्थ एसोसिएशन एवं U.N.F.P.A. द्वारा सहयोग प्रदान किया।

Youth awareness activity on declining sex ratio……

DSCN0425CID organizes awareness activity with Youth group who are studying in high school and higher secondary. The main motive behind this awareness activity was to sensitize young generation from the issue of declining sex ratio and its global effect which can affect the not only their future but the entire human society as well, so that they can contribute to carry this information to their family, neighborhood, relative and others. Mr. Mushtaq Ahamad Khan, who served as program coordinator in CID organization imparted information allied this issue. Student participated actively and shown their active presence during this entire session.

School Chalo Abhiyan

10306262_623432214407915_6924250462707647839_n Likewise every year, CID  organized “School Chalo Abhiyan” this year to the aware community of the importance of education for their children and to enroll children of child labour affected area into regular schooling.  The “SCHOOL CHALO ABHIYAN” organized and execute in child labor dominated slums and location such as Noorgunj, Awadpura, Aapaganj, Kishan bag, Transport nagar, Subhash Nagar, Madhre ki mata, Bheem Nagar, Naka Chandrawadani, Dabra block (Chirpura, Naktapatha) and Shankarpur of Ghatigaon Block.In the current year the effort to enroll children in schools was initiated from 6th June and it will be carried out till the end of July. This campaign brought good result and the number of children from target area getting enrolled in regular school is increasing steadily.  This has been possible due to the consistent efforts, contact Programmes, personal interaction, and awareness activities like meetings, rally, door-to-door contact in slums areas.

World Day Against Child Labour – 12 June

Participant :- 250 children.

          CID organizes programs regularly to bring the issue of child labour and their plight in lime light on different occasion.  On 12th June this year, CID celebrated World Day Against Child Labour at different areas.  This year, World Day Against Child Labour draws attention to the role of social protection in keeping children out of child labour and removing them from it.  World Day 2014 calls for:

  • Action to introduce, improve and extend social protection.
  • National social security systems that are sensitive to children’s needs and help fight child labour.DSCN5772
  • Social protection that reaches out to especially vulnerable groups of children.

         CID with collaboration other NGOs  organized a human chain. About  250 child labour participant this program. The main objective was to attract attention of general public, Govt, authorities and media on the issue of child labour, mostly children are  engaged in domestic work, Bidi making, carpet weaving, Rag picking, Stone crusher,  Automobiles, tea stall,  etc. CID carry out various activities such as wall writing, drawing competition and door to door distribution of Pamphlet on child labour through Balpanchayat member.

Orientation on declining sex ratio in region and PC-PNDT act

 

Being as a part of the campaign against declining sex ratio, CID set up an orientation program for regional NGO’s and CBO’s inDSCN5058 collaboration with MPVHA and supported by UNFPA. The cruelty of this subject was imparted by Dr. Vijay Gupta (Hony. Secretary, CID) at the initial of the program. During this two day workshop, NGOs were given information on PC-PNDT act 1994, MTP act 1971 and discussed the regional scenario on the declining sex ratio at birth, 0-6 year aged children and in general population by Mr. Devendra Bhaudoria and Dr. K.K. DIXIT. This is to impart information in the traditional practices of female foeticide which is a root cause of this problem. To convey the technical information and facilitate the session, CID invited the subject proficient resource person who imparted the issue based knowledge using the way of participatory learning. During this workshop, a tracking web site was introduced by Ms. Deepmala (Co-ordinator, MPVHA). She conveyed the information related the handling of this website and suggested the solution of a technical barrier while entry the complaint. Mr Mushtaq Ahmad Khan opened the plot of orientation with a welcome speech and conclude the orientation at the end.

Orientation Program for Adolescent girls- 27 May, 2014

    CID organized an orientation program for adolescent girls. This orientation was designed for multidimensional development of adolescent girls. The motto of this orientation is to,

• Develop leadership skill among adolescent girls.Adolescent Orientation
• Information and knowledge sharing about their social rights.
• Capacity building of adolescent on different issues.
• Information dissemination about the Govt. Schemes and policies.

     There were above 50 girl participants came to attend this program from various location (Mandhre ki mata, Shankarpur, Kishan Bagh, Transport Nagar, Chirpura, Naktapatha ) of Gwalior. During this program, invited resource person Mrs. Neelam Dixit (Eduction Officer FPAI), Dr. Sujatha Bapat, Dr. Vijay Gupta (Chief functionary, CID) and Ms, Reshma Khan (Counselor, Child line) delivered essential information allied adolescent age. This information was fulfilled from natural physical changes, child rights and ecological rights, different government scheme for adolescent in general and girls in particular during the entire session.

Anti-Child Labour Day, 30 April – 2014

CID celebrated the Anti Child Labor Day along with NCLP on April 30th, 2014 at Phool-Bagh. The main objective of this activity was to call attention of the general public and people from the media on the issue of child rights and child labouranti child labour day

There were more than 250 children participated in this event along with social worker and NGOs partner like Goverdhan Samiti, Lala RamGopal Samiti, Satish Memorial Society, Vidhyaram Shiksha Samiti, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Child Line, CDS5 etc.

Then after, a human chain was made by the children of the centers run by CID in which children distributed pamphlet, brochure and imparted children massage on child rights by mean of board and slogan.

World Day Against Child Labour – 12 JUNE 2013

      12 June is assigned as a DSC_0047World Day Against Child Labour which is organized to prevent child labourhood at large scale. India is also one of the country where 12 June is celebrated with some commitment towards the welfare of child labour. Therefore this day was organized and celebrated by CID at Phoolbag and different places in Gwalior city in which Children gathered and raise their voice them selves to attract the attention of general public on the problematic issues of child labour.

     A large Human Chain made by children at Phoolbagh. There were about 200 children from different child labour sector like Bidi, Carpet, and Rag picking etc. participated in the human chain and raised the voice for eradication of child labor and their rights. At further this day are celebrated at different places keeping many activities in focus with collaboration of organizational team and other organization of our network like NCLP and etc. In the chain of activity, We organized children rally at Khajanchi baba, drawing competition at Shankarpura, Transport Nagar, Kishan Bag, Shubhash  Nagar, and Biloua. About 250 children participated in this whole activity. They DSC_0079built awareness by distributing pamphlets

   On this occasion, Mr. O. P. Mishra (Director NCLP), Dr. Vijay Gupta (Hony. Secretary, CID organization),Mr.Mohan Vidvekar, Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Mr. Shyam Singh Baghel, Mrs. Pushpa  Sharma, Mr. Gaurav Kadam, Ms. Rani Sharma, Mr. Rajendra Soni (Coordinator of child line), Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Khan (APC, CID organization) and large numbers of public and media persons were enrolled their presence.
